Remilty is a European currency and crypto exchange service with cash delivery, operating since 2012. Here's how we work and why clients trust us.
How we started
Remilty was founded in 2012 in Paris by a small group of financial-services veterans who set out to fix a simple problem: exchanging currency in Europe still meant standing in line at a bank or accepting a poor rate at an airport kiosk. We opened our first currency-exchange counter with locked, transparent rates and personally delivered cash to our earliest clients ourselves.
Over the years we grew from a single counter into a licensed bureau de change, built our own network of vetted couriers for cash delivery, and in 2017 began supporting crypto exchange as client demand grew. Fourteen years on, we operate in fourteen cities across Europe and the Middle East, serving individuals and businesses who exchange both cash and crypto.
Our headquarters remains in Paris, where Remilty is legally registered and where our compliance team sets shared standards for every European office.

How we're organized
The team is split into four groups. Operations processes requests and coordinates couriers in every city we serve - local coordinators know the routes and quirks of their own market. Compliance reviews deals, client verification, and monitors limits set by regulators. Support stays reachable on Telegram around the clock and resolves most questions within 15 minutes. Security vets couriers, runs training, and monitors routes.
Every courier passes a multi-step security check, signs a liability agreement, and completes training with a mentor before their first solo route. We regularly audit our internal processes with independent consultants to keep service quality consistent across every city.
Licensing and compliance
Remilty is registered as a virtual asset and currency exchange service provider and follows KYC/AML procedures for large-sum and crypto exchanges. We keep transaction records in line with the EU's anti-money-laundering directives (AMLD5/6) and may request additional verification for deals above set limits.
Virtual asset service provider registration
Remilty is registered in the French digital asset service provider registry (PSAN) with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF).
Bureau de change registration
Cash currency exchange is licensed under French bureau de change regulations.
AMLD5/6 compliance
Our due diligence, transaction monitoring, and reporting procedures follow EU anti-money-laundering directives.
